How to send event invitations on WhatsApp
WhatsApp is where most invitations are actually opened, and it is unusually unforgiving: a link with no preview looks like spam, an image cannot be updated, and a group chat buries everything within a day.
A few specific choices make the difference between an invitation people open and one they scroll past.

Images get compressed, cannot be corrected once sent, and cannot collect replies. A link stays current — if the venue changes, everyone who opens it sees the new details.

WhatsApp shows a title, description and image for a link. If those are missing, the message looks like a bare URL, which reads as suspicious. Send the link to yourself first and check the preview renders before sending it to anyone else.

Group messages are convenient and easy to ignore — nobody feels personally addressed, and the invitation is buried by the next twenty messages. For weddings and formal events, send to people directly.
