Refund Policy

Last updated: September 11, 2026

dnvit sells a one-time purchase, per invitation. There is no subscription, no recurring charge and nothing to cancel — you pay once for the invitation you are publishing, and that is the end of it.

This policy explains when that payment can be refunded, how to ask, and what happens to your invitation if a refund is issued. It applies to every plan ($29–$99 USD) bought directly through dnvit.

I.You can try everything before you pay

Creating an invitation on dnvit is free. You can choose a design, put in your own names, photos and story, and preview the finished invitation exactly as your guests would see it — all without entering a card.

Payment is only required at the moment you publish and share it. Because you can see precisely what you are buying beforehand, the refund windows below are short by design — please use the free preview fully before you pay.

II.If something went wrong on our side — 3 days

If the problem is ours, you have 3 days from payment to ask for a full refund, and we will not make you argue the case. That covers, for example:

  • You were charged and the plan was never activated on your account.
  • You paid in order to publish and the invitation did not go live.
  • A feature listed on your plan does not work as described, and we cannot fix it for you in reasonable time.
  • You were charged more than once for the same invitation and the same plan.

If any of that happened to you, write to us and we will process the refund. We would rather fix the invitation than end it, so tell us what went wrong first — but the choice is yours.

III.If you simply changed your mind — 24 hours

Where nothing has gone wrong and you have decided the invitation is not for you, you can ask for a full refund within 24 hours of payment, provided you have not already shared the published link with your guests.

After those 24 hours, a change-of-mind refund is no longer available. The invitation is delivered the moment it is published, and the free preview exists so this decision can be made before paying rather than after.

IV.When we cannot refund

Outside the two windows above, a refund is not normally available — in particular once the published link has been shared with your guests, or once your event has taken place, since the service has been used at that point.

We also do not refund a change of mind about the design. Designs can be changed as often as you like on any plan at no extra cost, so tell us what you would like different and we will help you change it.

This is our stated position, not a wall. If your circumstances are genuinely difficult — the event was cancelled, or the purchase was made by mistake — tell us what happened and we will look at it properly. A request made after its window is still read by a person.

V.Upgrades are charged in full

Moving an invitation to a higher plan is charged at the new plan's full one-time price. It is not prorated and we do not credit what you already paid for the lower plan.

The plan screen states this before you pay. If you upgraded without realising this, the 24-hour window above applies — contact us, and we would far rather resolve it than have you dispute the charge.

VI.How to request a refund

The quickest way is “Problem with a payment?” on your Billing page — it records your request and when you made it, and goes straight to a person.

You can also email support@dnvit.com from the address on your dnvit account. Please include the invitation name and roughly when you paid — that is enough for us to find the payment.

We aim to reply within two business days. Approved refunds are returned to the original card through Stripe, our payment processor; your bank typically posts it within 5–10 business days, which is outside our control.

Please write to us before opening a dispute with your bank. A dispute takes weeks and locks the payment while it runs; a message to us usually settles the same thing far faster.

VII.What happens to your invitation

When a refund is issued, the plan that payment bought is removed from that invitation. If no other payment still covers it, the invitation is taken offline, so a link already shared with guests will stop showing it; refunding an upgrade returns the invitation to the plan you had before. Invitations you paid for separately are unaffected. This happens automatically.

Your account and the invitation's content are not deleted — the design, guest list and replies stay in your dashboard, and buying a plan again lets you publish it again. If you want the data removed entirely, see the Privacy Policy.
